Financially secure employees are more productive employees!

Providing worksite financial education will help:

  • Provide an ROI of 3:1 (conservatively estimated) as a result of increased productivity and reduction of direct costs

  • Increase participation in and improve the ROI for compensation and benefit programs

  • Increase a company’s ability to attract and retain satisfied employees

  • Reduce financial stress levels and overall stress levels for employees

  • Manage an employer’s risk of liability as a plan sponsor and meet ERISA Section 404(c) requirement of providing employees with “sufficient information” regarding investment alternatives to make informed decisions

The University of Minnesota Extension Service provides trustworthy worksite education to help employers and employees take the road to financial security.

As trained educators with expertise in family financial management we:

  • Provide trustworthy education based on up-to-date research

  • Don't sell or promote specific financial products

  • Go beyond specific work benefits (e.g. 401(k) to provide an overview of financial decisions

  • Understand what helps and what hinders family financial decision making

  • Provide increased access to user-friendly financial education for workers of all socio-economic levels

  • Have products recognized and used nationwide by financial planners and educators

Follow the mileposts on this website to learn how worksite financial education can be one route to a more productive workforce.
